Anthropologist documentary filmmaker

After graduating in architecture in Venice, she has mainly focused on research and enhancement of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. For several years now, she has been dedicated to ethnographic research, working alongside historians, ethnomusicologists, and documentary filmmakers, as well as independently collaborating with various organizations. She has produced several audiovisual works mainly related to animal husbandry and dairy farming, chestnut cultivation, and craftsmanship, and collected various life stories and interviews on hunting activities, forest management, and mining work. Her first documentary, "Noura Saied and the peasant life of southern Egypt," the only work she submitted to a competition, was selected and screened at the Ischia Film Festival in 2014. In 2016, she graduated from the Ethnofilm Documentary Cinema School in Monselice under the guidance, among others, of RAI documentary filmmaker Luigi di Gianni and sound engineer Francesco Liotard. In March 2020, she graduated with honors in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna with a thesis entitled "From Father to Son: Knowledge Embedded in the Mountain Culture of Valtrompia," supervised by Professor Francesca Sbardella. She has recently completed the documentary "Le mani nere" (The Black Hands) about the arms-making tradition in Brescia. She is participating in the "Cultura Italia" project for a participatory film "Borgo Ergo Sum" under the direction of director Enzo Aronica. For over a year, she has been documenting the work of a marble sculptor for the upcoming documentary titled "Beyond the Stone: Gianpietro Moretti, Sculptor."

Pianist

Graduated in piano from the Conservatory of Music in Brescia under the guidance of Maestro Sergio Marengoni and with a degree from the Catholic University with a thesis in theoretical philosophy on the Brescian philosopher Emanuele Severino.

Passionate about playing since the age of nine, she dedicates herself with equal enthusiasm to reading, art, and all things "beautiful." She loves making music with friends and interpreting less-performed pieces.

She has recorded two CDs of solo piano pieces by the Navan composer P. Ugoletti, published by Kelidon and Phoenix. In 2000, she participated in the contemporary music showcase of the Brescia and Bergamo Piano Festival and played for several years with the Trio and String Quartet of the Rome Opera.

She is a piano accompanist and piano teacher at the "V. Gambara" Music High School in Brescia.

Performer and photographer

Graduated in Educational Sciences, with a thesis in anthropology, then graduated as Photographic Image Technician at the R. Rossellini Cine-TV Institute in Rome. She lived for many years in Rome and Spain where she participated in various art and photography exhibitions.  Her approach is multidisciplinary, related to anthropology, topicality and literature.

Flutist

She attended the Conservatories of Brescia, Venice, and Trento, studying under the guidance of Giampaolo Pretto, the principal flutist of the RAI Orchestra in Turin. Other influential teachers included Michele Marasco, Gabriele Betti, Andrea Oliva for the flute, and Alberto Negroni and Luca Vignali for chamber music. She further refined her musical skills through the participation in numerous masterclasses with Janos Balint, Julien Baudiment, Josè Castellon, Mario Caroli, and continued the studies in the doctoral program at UBC Vancouver with Brenda Fedoruk and Christie Reside. Her career has evolved in the fields of concert performance, teaching, and musical research. She served as the principal flutist in the Chihuahua State Orchestra, Toluca Philharmonic Orchestra, and Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra for more than a decade. Avid chamber performer, she has been involved in projects both nationally and internationally, collaborating with pianists Elisabetta Marcolini, Chiara Rizza, Sunny Qu, Emily Logan, just to name a few. In the final stage of a Doctoral Program in flute performance at UBC Vancouver, her research focuses on embodied techniques applied to flute practice and performing. She has been invited to present her work at prestigious congresses and venues, including "Creativity in Music and the Arts" (GAPS2 - Global Arts and Psychology Seminar) in York, Graz, La Plata, and Melbourne, the Annual ANDA Conference in Modena, Conservatorio di Musica “Orazio Vecchi –Antonio Tonelli”, and the "Doctors in Performance"; Festival conference at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She currently holds the position of flute teacher under Italian Ministry of Education.
